Fleet & Corporate Driver Training

How we work | Training Courses

Driver training days can be organised with us for full or half day training.

Training will take place at your site of work or a more convenient place if required.

Our instructors will assess your driver by monitoring the way they drive and then advise and instruct them on the areas that need improving. Your driver will then be given a digital report on how to improve his or her driving skills at the end of the course. We guarantee your driver will have a greater understanding of driving and their skills will be improved which will result in safer and more eco furture driving.

Why give your drivers on road training?

You might have many different situations why you might give extra training to your employees.

A few situations and reasons might be:

  • New Employees - Are they fit to drive your vehicle? Have they driven a van before? We (Fully qualified DVSA Fleet driver trainers) can carry out assessments, reruitment drives and licence checks on new employees to confirm that they are fit to drive your vehicles and whether they need extra training. We can also give presentations on road safety and handling of vehicles.

  • Current Employees - Training can be given to help drivers reduce fuel costs and improve their knowledge and skill to make them safer on Uk roads.

  • Damage to vehicles - Do you vehicles suffer regular bumps and scrapes?

  • Wear/ tear to vehicles - Is repair work costs mounting up usually high?

  • Speeding fines or road traffic incidents?

  • Insurances premiums rising each year?

If you maintain your computers with IT specialists, you should do the same with your drivers and you will see a much better performance.

Do your drivers have the right skills to drive your vehicles?

Are they looking after your vehicles?

Are they aware of different rules and regulations for different vehicles?

Our Fleet driver training sessions will include:

  • Licence and eyesight test.

  • Pre-drive vehicle checks.

  • Occupational road risk presentation (We can structure a presentation so it relates to the type of vehicles you will be using).

  • Energy Saving Trust Ecodriving Training

  • Initial driving assessment.

  • Highway code quiz.

  • On-road driver training and coaching.

  • Demonstration drive if appropriate.

  • Online Reports - Sent to you as a PDF.

Our training sessions can also be structured to the needs of our clients.

The training we provide can work on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis.

Fleet driving training will improve drivers attitude, behaviour and competence.  This will then improve your company safety records and costs towards your fleet.

We can provide classroom training and in car training for car, van, bus, coach and 4x4.

Why do you need this?

- Duty of care and legal compliance

- Moral and social responsibility

- Economic savings
